Super 32 Early Registration Reactions

Ryan's Thoughts as Super Early Registrations roll in!

  • Jacob McCord up to 157! Moving up a few weights!

  • Jack Harty at 175 for Green Farms Academy.

  •  Aidan Szewczyk is up at 132. It comes as no surprise that he is moving up a couple weights, we discussed this on CTT at the state tournament.

  • Aiden Burkholder is back at 106.

  • Carson Worrick registers under Davie for the first time and up to 157. It will be interesting to see how their lineup shakes out with Worrick and Gould.

  • Bentley Sly at 144 for Super 32. He will look to AA after a blood round finish a year ago.

  • Faith Bane and Iyanna Crawford are the only girls registered at the time. The quality here is hype. We have a Fargo AA and a girl who was beating the eventual champ.

  • It was no coincidence that Bentley and Faith were two of the first couple registered. They were waiting for this.

  • Joshua Stonebraker registered at 150. Excited to see him again.

  • Gabe Rogers moves up to 132. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at an even bigger weight come February. He is growing.

  • Kavan Wilson up to 165.

  • Tobin McNair up two weights to 157! Tobin has the frame to move up weights. I like this move for him and his style. I am really excited to watch him.

  • Jaxon Thomas up to 113.

  • Sam Harper at 190. Will this be his weight this season?

  • Mac and Tye Johnson register at 120 and 126.

  • Jacob Reigel and Jacob Hills look to be returning at 175 for the year.

  • I can't wait to start updating rankings......Update....I couldn't wait! I started adjusting weights on the rankings!

  • Brieon Mayfield is a 175.

  • Private schooler, Dino Lambos, is in at 120.

  • North Carolina kid Cainan Williams, who competes for Mccallie in TN,, is very legit. Watch him at Super 32. Also, he is up at 157!

  • Tyton Kostoff is in at 144. Up two weights from last year. If you saw him during Freestyle, this isn't a Suprise.........Hough's lineup is loaded!!!!!

  • FARGO ALL-AMERICAN. I REPEAT FARGO ALL-AMERICAN; Aaron Ellison is now registered at 144.

  • State runner-up, Chris Aparicio is back at 150!

  • Dom Blue is in at 165! I believe we will see him at 175 this year and he is going 165 here because of the Super 32 weigh in rules. Interesting thing to watch though

  • Also, Union Pines completely reloaded. They are going to be insanely good this year.

  • Holt Quincy is up at 126! Not shocked to see him move up a couple of weights considering his frame.

  • Bonus Point Machine, Jordan Miller is in and up at 120.

  • Efrain Rivera registers for West Oak, SC.........bummed.

  • State Rankings are being updated to reflect these changes!

  • State Champion, Liam Myles registers at 106!!!! The most interesting piece of this is the Union Pines lineup. They have super studs coming in at the lightweights too.

  • Middle School studs have entered the chat. The will be #1 2030 wrestler, Mason Brown is in and so is superstar Ethan Halstead.

  • Death, Taxes, and Andrew Meadows' Matches!!!! The two-time state champion is in!!!! We love watching him wrestle because he lets it fly.

  • Ayden Sumners registers at 126! This kid makes level jumps each time out. We can't wait to see the latest jump!

  • THREE-TIME State Champion, Cael Dunn, is in. This will be the first event for his new school, South Davidson. Also, he is up at 215!!!!!!

  • State runner-up, Sam Boltes, enters at 113!

  • Again, I am updating the rankings as these enters roll in!

  • Hayden Smith is in at 144! I am surprised to see him back down at 144, he was looking like he would move up weights. Let's see where he ends up this season.

  • 144 is a great weight for NC with Hayden Smith, Bentley Sly, Tyton Kostoff and Aaron Ellison.

  • OKAY!!! 144 continues to be the weight for North Carolina as Alex May, Eli Horton and James Campos all register at 144.

  • I am interested to see how May has progressed over the course of the past few months. He really jumped levels from Sophomore to Junior year.

  • State Runner-up, James Campos, is interesting at 144. He and High School teammate, Hayden Smith, are both at 144. Let's see how their lineup shakes out in November.

  • Eli Horton is a dog. He is one of the toughest kids in the state. It will be intriguing to see Eli up another weight.

  • Avery Rhymer registers at 215! Let's goooooo!!!!!

  • State Runner-up, Sander Tran, is in and up to 113!

  • Michael Mauro is in at 165! We were really impressed with Mauro at the state tournament last year and are ready to watch him again!

  • Aiden White has registered at 132! If you have seen anything from us post-Fargo. You know we think very highly of this young man!

  • Jacob Perry enters the chat at 150. He had his freshman campaign cut short due to illness and then followed it up with an AA finish in VA Beach. The kid is dangerous!

  • Savada Kitchen, Fargo AA, is in on the women's side!

  • Mitchell Rowland. He is registered at 138. He had an outstanding weekend at the GA Super 32 qualifier. His freshman campaign wasn't what many predicted. What many didn't know is the battling back from injury that occurred for Mitchell. He never really regained his form during the season. Well, let me be the first to tell you that he has been working this offseason and it is going to show here.

  • Tiaj Thao is in at 132. Back at the weight where he was a state runner-up a year ago. This kid is a fan favorite and one of our favorites to watch because he can score from anywhere and just let's it fly.

  • I love watching the registrations roll in for Super 32 for a few reasons. One is the weight changes. This is the first indication of where kids will be wrestling this year. Secondly, is the preview of the team's lineups that we get. Above I talked about the Union Pines lineup intrigue with Myles registering at 106. Here we have both Thao and Szewczyk both at 132 for Davie. I am sure Coach Stanley and crew will have it figured out by November, but they have these two state finalists at the same weight here and Gould and Worrick at 150. Another pair of state finalists for one weight.

  • Aaron Angel-Ruiz is back at 215. I am really excited for this kid's sophomore campaign. He was impressive in Fargo and we think the sky is the limit for this kid!

  • Beck McNeer and Max McNeer of Charlotte Christian registers at 150.

  • Carson Raper is in at 106!!! This kid is the truth! We loved watching him scrap in Fargo. He is tough as nails. GET READY, NC!

  • State Champ, Garrison Raper, is in at 132! This kid is a hammer. Don't let last year's state tournament fool you, the kid is very good and is better than ever as evidenced by the GA Super 32 qualifier.

  • Jekai Sedgwick, our Hoke County Hammer, is in at 120. He wrestled in Fargo this summer and has added a few tools to his toolbelt.

  • Sammyyyyyy G!!!!! Our dude is registered at 138 (down a weight from his state finals weight) and we couldn't be more excited to see him scrap.

  • Tripp Sullivan registers at 165. If I have said it once, I have said it a hundred times. Tripp moves his feet so well. Union Pines has Tripp and Dom both registered at 165. My guess is Tripp is 165 and Dom at 175 for the year.

  • Colt Cambruzzi is registered at 132. He looked ridiculously good at the Early Entry tournament.

  • Adrian Feliciano is in. Registered at 120 though when he wrestled 113 at Early Entry. I am interested in where he ends up and where Lefler ends up in the Hough lineup.

  • Austin Laws is one tough dude. He is in at 144.

  • Cameron Gue is in at 132. Back at the weight where he was a year ago. This makes two former state champs at 4A 132.

  • Speaking of tough! Campbell Tufts is up to 157 and ready to roll this year. Really think this kid has a high ceiling.

  • Connor Reece, the number one wrestler in the class of 2028, is registered at 138. This kid is outstanding.

  • Deyari El-Amin is registered at 190. He has some tricky leg defense and is interesting prospect.

  • State Champion, Dom Hittepole , is in at up at 190! This kid is fun to be around and fun to watch.

  • Fares Alkurdasi of Jordan had a great tournament at the Early Entry. He is up at 175 and looks much improved.

  • Gavin Gholami of Lincolnton is registered at 175.

  • Private schooler, Harrison Landon, is registered at 132.

  • Private schooler, Liam McConaughy, is registered at 126.

  • Private schooler, Nichalos Arado, is registered at 144.

  • Ryder Menard is registered at 113. He is a dog. I can't wait to see his improvement from last year.

  • T-Rex (Trevelian) Hall was undefeated state champion a year ago. I am excited to see what he can do here at this weight.

  • Logan Mumy!!! Up at 190 and fresh off a runner-up finish at the Early Entry tournament.

  • Matthew Akins is in at 113!

  • Big Dog, Keyshon Morrison, is in at 215! He won the Early Entry in dominating fashion!

  • And there it is!!! Lorenzo Alston has registered!!!!!!! I have been closely watching and anticipating his registration! His accolades speak for themselves, and we are looking for a big Super 32 from Zo.

  • Zack Knott registers at 285.

  •  Carson Owens is coming off a great weekend at the Early Entry. He is a private school state champ that will be at Leesville Road this year.

  • Again, I am updating the State Rankings based on these new weight changes.

  • Jaclyn Bouzakis is registered under NC.

  • Willam Moorehead is a freaking stud! He is registered at 136 for the middle school division.

  • Steven Faubion is a previous Super MS placer, and he is back again to beat up some fools.

  • Lukas Cala is registered in the middle school division and is going to be a problem for the other kids in the bracket.

  • Eli Taylor is one of the next great ones. We can't wait to see him at Super 32.

  • Chase Janawsky is going to be a fan favorite for the Hough teams in the next few years, and he will look to place in the Super 32 middle school division.

  • Chase Davis enters the middle school division and looks to place.

  • Bennett Myles is registered in the middle school division and is tough as nails.

  • Ben Ellison. Yes, James and Aaron's little brother. Well, after Super 32. You will just know him as Ben.

  • Benex Velasco is the truth. We think this kid is really good and we have had others tell us to watch out for him in the coming years. We look forward to seeing his progress here at the Middle School Super 32.

  • I am getting an early jump on the 2030 Big Board....Look for it to be released right after NHSCAs.

  • I can't wait for Super 32. It is going to be so much fun! Rhett and I better book our hotel now. Last year was a disaster for us in that avenue. hahaha.
