• Whoops. Somehow I missed Aidan Gore. I have decided Aidan (in its various spellings) is the official NC wrestling name. Anywho, Aidan is in and back at 157!

• The Enka boys register! Enka is going to be very tough to beat this year! 

• Maddox Crooke is at 113, Jacobie Morrison is at 120, and Colton Farmer is at 126. 

• They join teammate Shepard Homan, who registered earlier. 

• Matthew Akins at 120. Not sure if I talked about him previously but he is a dog. 

• BIg one! Tobin McNair is in at 165. This is gonna be a big tournament for Tobin. We believe that. 

• The Middle School and Women's registration opened and closed today! 

• Abram Whitaker...at 112...we saw this dude scrapping today. When I tell you he is gonna be a monster, he is gonna be a MONSTER!

• Alex Strobl another tough kid that is going to be very good is at 90. 

• Aiden Castelli at 95, Alonzo Roye at 112, Camden Roberts at 100.

• Arman Bassiri is in at 70!

• Brooks Gilson is a dog. The way he wrestled today, impressed the heck out of me. 

• Charles Leggett at 120. 

• 14u National Team Member, Charlie Flythe, is at 128.

• IMG's Chase Davis, is in at 90. 

• Chet Nelson at 100, Christopher Espino at 90, Cooper Brunner at 157.

• Dalton Biehinning at 112.

• Damian Vazquez-Mora at 85. 

• The young puma, Daniel Aparicio, is at 128. Excited to see what he can do here. 

• Deegan Nelson at 157, Dexter Flahive at128. 

• Emerson Pinnex, I am assuming this is Waylon's little brother, is at 85. 

• Emmett Williams at 112! Not many kids had a better summer than he did. We saw him scrapping today and let's just say that he is very good.

• Jacob Thompson, who wrestled at 14u duals, is at 85.

• ​Kiyan Bassiri is at 90. This kid is gonna be one of the next great ones.

• Louden Dunn!!!! I cannot wait to see this kid scrap. He is in at 157.

• Luke Ginos at 136. Matteo Del Verme at 120.

• Max White looked as good as ever at practice today and he will be at 120.

• Porter Black at 120, which seems to be the weight for NC Middle schoolers. 

• Regan Gamble at 105. Royce Daberkow, going to be good for Union Pines, at 85. William Schupp at 80.

• Rocco Esposito at 105. Yes, that Esposito. I am excited to watch Rocco as I have heard many good things about the way he competes.

• William Moorehead. How can you not love this kid? He is going to look to add another national accomplishment. We are betting on him.

• Alyvia Hawkins at 200. She is an AA threat. book it. 

• State-runner up, Amari Mccleery, at 132. 

• Averi Basiley at 148. Expect her to have a nice showing. 

• Bella Johnson at 106. This girl is tough at nails. This is a great place to burst onto the national scene. 

• Camile Rhodes at 160. Casey Dixon at 160. 

• Cora Flahive at 106. Eason Hob at 148. Ella Dellinger at 160. Grace Shelton at 138. 

• Claire Ballard at 118. She has had great national showings over the course of the last year. We expect more of the same. 

• Ella Taylor. She is going to AA here. We believe it and you should too. 

• Georgia McGee, our local girl! She is going to show the local girls that it is possible here. 

• ​Hais Thao is in at 95. She is only in 8th but she has been doing well on the national scene everywhere. 

• Harley Branch at 118. Helen Durham at 188. 

• Jaclyn Bouzakis, yes that Jaclyn Bouzakis, at 106. There is a reason she registers for NC, y'all.

• Katie Hayes at 132, Kaydence Olivares at 132. Kyndall Kloepping at 95. 

• State Champion, Mackenzie Shaver, at 138. 

• State Finalist, Mia Lavinge, at 138.

• Mikaylah Potter at 132. Nat Dolan at 100. Sophia Medlock at 106. 

• Peyton Smith at 118. Zoom. Zoom. If you know, ya know. 

• Riley Paden is super good. Watch her at 138.

• Shelby Klienknecht, a state runner-up as a freshman, is at 148. 

• Sofia Salas!!!!! Let's go! She is at 112!

• State champion, Veronika Wilson at 124!! It has been a minute since we got to see her beat some fools up. Can't wait! 

• Yaleen Khang rounds out the ladies! That is a stud to end on.

• Savada Kitchen, a returning Super 32 AA, registers at 200 lbs. 

• Our women's roster is loaded so far! 

• Benex Velasco is in at 85 lbs. This kid is one of our next great ones. He is part of the 14u that is out of this world good. 

• Jekai Sedgwick is back at 120 and is ready to go. Kid is so tough. Can't wait to see him bring it here. 

• Liam Myles is in at 113. The Union Pines crew might have the most registered for one team at this point. 

• The team race is over at 6A too. Union Pines is going to win again. I don't see how anyone catches them at this point. 

• Caleb Edwards up at 132. This is my public "thank you" for making me look smart at the state tournament. He could go on a run here, believe that.

• Also, Piedmont will be very, very good this year.

• Carson Raper is in at 113! We really can't say enough great things about this kid. Everyone who spends time with him, loves him. Watch him wrestle and you can't help but respect the heck out of him. His Fargo match with Florida, where he got the pin, is still living rent free in my head. 

• Already said it but South Rowan is dangerous.

• Adam Walker is up to 126 from 113. If you watched any weekly recaps last year, you know I am very high on this kid.

• Aiden Burkholder up to 120! 

• Cade Gehris!!!!!!!! Till the wheels fall off!!!

• Simeon Hammett registers at 150.

• Trinity is gonna be so good. Shut down the team race now. It is over.

• Tyton Kostoff registers at 150. One of the most underrated NC guys. I am excited to see how he does here. 

• Rylynn Keziah registers at 175 for NC! Four absolute hammers are in the women's division for NC. 

• Bowen Lefler registers! When it comes to young up and coming NC kids, he is near the top, if not at the top of ones that I am excited for!

8/18 Reactions: 

• Aaron Ruiz-Angel is registered at 215. This kid had a great Fargo. With he and Nash Mullis both back at 215, it looks like we are on a collision course for a rematch for these two.

• Aidan Szewczyk registers at 132. I wonder if this is an indicator that he is going to wrestle there during the year. 

• Aiden White! He is back at 138! Does this mean that Tye and Aiden are going to run it back for a second year in a row?!

• Ammon Scott is at 144. A move that I wasn't expecting. I know that this was a quiet offseason for him but don't forget about him. This kid is the truth.

• Fresh off his commitment to VMI, Ayden Sumners is in at 126. He didn't have the Fargo that he was hoping for. He will make up for it here. Trust. 

• It is the Ayden, Aiden and Aidan registration day apparently. 

• Carson Worrick is in and at 165. This kid will be one of the ones leading the NC contingent. 

• Fargo AA, Devin Hord, is registered at 113 for Kings Mountain.  Don't bet against him. 

• Dyaln Belmont is up to 144 and is at PIEDMONT! Huge points for Piedmont in a team title race.

• Gavin Lopez. I was looking forward to seeing him in Fargo, he made me wait till Super 32. He won't disappoint. 

• With Nash, Gavin and Aaron Ruiz-Angel, 215 is a good weight for NC.

• Jack Gilson is up to 150 after a runner-uo finish at 138 for Charlotte Latin last year. 

• New Wolfpack Commit, Joshua Stonebraker, is at 157. This kid is tough. He could really surprise people here. 

• Super 32 Finalist, Mason Brown, is at 120. for South Rowan. This kid is so freaking good. Just wait, y'all. 

• The youth movement in NC is real. Yates, Carson Raper, Mason Brown, Devin Hord and more. This young 16u group and the 14u group is DANGEROUS! 

• I am saying it now, South Rowan is going to win the 4A Tournament title. They have Emilio Diaz, Garrison, Carson and Mason Brown. 

• State Champion, Matthew Akins, is in at 120. 

• Freshman state champ, Maddox Crooke, is up at 113 for the Enka Jets. 

• Miller Menteer registers at 132. This kid was one who turned heads at the state tournament. Excited to see him back in Folk. 

• Oscar Ormond is in for the middle school division at 70 lbs. He was a Kids Nationals AA. 

• Khiry Reese adds her name to the girls registration list. She is currently at 124. Only 3 girls registered but dang! 3 studs! Khiry, Lauren, and Mia!

8/17 Reactions: 

• DAY ONE OF EARLY REGISTRATION AND WE GOT SOME HEAT!!!!!

• On the women's side of things we have the #1 and #2 pound for pound ladies are already registered. Mia Pardo is in at 95 lbs and Lauren Samuel is in at 132 lbs. LET'S GOOOO! 

• In the Middle School division two returning All-Americans in the mix with Lucas Cala and Steven Faubion. Cala will be at 95 lbs and Faubion is up at 235. Both of these kids are hammers!!!

• Landon Reed is also registered in the middle school division. He was an AA in the Elementary division a year ago. 

• Feliciano up to 126! I am excited to see him again. I felt like he improved a lot this spring. 

• Aidan Campbell is in and back at 150. 

• The dawg that is Manny Kahsai is locked in at 190! 

• Caleb Lythacum is up at 138! 

• Fargo AA Cam Johnson is at 113! Excited to see him in Folk. 

• Speaking of Johnsons. Tye and Mac register at the weights where they won state titles a year ago. 

• Campbell Tufts is up one weight at 165! We will see what haircut he goes with. 

• Alex Thompson or Charles Thompson depending on who you ask, is up at 138. He was fun to watch in Fargo and is really tough. 

• State Champ, Connor Reece, is at 144!

• Danny McDermott is a 120. I can't wait to watch this kid again. 

• Drew Teeter is all the way up at 190. DON'T MISS A DREW MATCH! 

• Ethan Cole is up at 126 after a title for Charlotte Latin at 106. 

• Ethan Halstead is testing the waters in the High School division this year. 

• JACK HARTY! Man, I miss watching this kid. We are proud of what he is doing at National Preps and it is gonna be great to have him back on NC soil! 

• Jake McCord is up another weight to 165! 

• 16u Freestyle AA, Jake Amiott, is a 144! 

• James Stephens registers at 138! 

• Jaxon Thomas moves up to 120! 

• 120 is very interesting for NC so far with Thomas, Bernthal, and MCDermott. 

• Jay Mills back at 165! 

• Joshua Lemke at 285. 

• Joe Shook is up to 144. The whole UP lineup is registering right away. 

• Logan Mumy is back at 190. 

• Luke Padgett registered  at 190. This kid is so good. That super duck from the Tiger Classic lives in my head rent free.

• Micah Howard is all the way up at 157. His top game is a difference maker. 

• Michael Santoro moves up to 113. 

• Nash Mullis is at 215. This kid impressed both Rhett and I this summer. 

• Nicholas Arado is staying at 144. 

• Oscar Zelaya at 120. 

• State Champ, Ryan Johnson, is wrestling at 106 here. 

• Sheppard Homan. So Fun to watch!!! He jumps up a few weights to 138. 

• Stephen Cross is at 132, up two weights from a year ago. 

• Tommy Kishpaugh adds to the NC talent at 120! 

• Tripp Sullivan moves up to 175 int he spot left from Dom Blue in the UP lineup. 

• Vincent Valentino moves up to 150. 

• Xavier Bernthal  moves up to 120 after at state title at 106 last year. 

• Did I mention 120 looks  like the weight for NC?! 

• Zac Cotter registers at 157. The same weight that he was a state runner-up at last year.

• 16u Freestyle AA, Braylen Yates, registers at 175 for TOPSAIL HIGH! Big move for him and Topsail. Dang 7A is going to insane once again!
